Good evening Oppo! Today I am curious about high performance machines. What is your favorite super/hyper/mega car? Mine is the W Motors Lykan Hypersport.
Named after a shape shifting wolf apparently. But that’s not what is cool about this car. The main thing is the styling. Look at those fenders! At that front fascia! Also the doors (look below) they open like butterfly doors but backwards like suicide doors ! Although the headlights do have diamonds (pretty much any gem stone actually ) 420 to be exact which I find to be ridiculous . This looks absolutely insane with performance that can back it up. This car isn’t all bark and not bite because it has a RUF tuned 3.8L flat six making 780 hp allowing a 0-60 in 2.9 seconds . I would absolutely kill to own one of these cars. Too bad only 7 were ever built.

My ultimate dream car is still the Noble M600
A Mega Track would be cool too.

I always enjoyed the look of the Gumpert Apollo. Even if it wasn't the greatest car.

Sure why not? I mean it for their time they were pretty fast cars that could give Ferrari’s a run for their money .

If we’re going into hypercar nuttiness I still love Koenigsegg; it doesn’t really matter which, although if I had to pick it’d be the CCX-R.

For me there is only one. The Koenigsegg Regera
Powerful, fast, uses innovative technology, and is incredibly beautiful. To me the Regera is the embodiment of the hyper car.
Honorable mention to the Porsche 918 which was an amazing technological achievement, still blows my mind that we now have a factory street legal 911 thats quicker than the 918 around a track (the 991 GT 2 RS).

Does it have to be something that was actually put into production?
If not, I might have to say the Jaguar C-

1911-1913 Mercer Raceabout. These were like supercars at the time, topping out at about 105 mph when Model Ts could only do about 40. I got to ride in a replica of one once, and it was probably the most thrilling car I’ve ever been in. The owner built it in the ‘70s, and it appeared to be a very faithful recreation, aside from the fact that it was powered by a Pinto engine and had seatbelts. A s we pulled out on the road, I almost yelled at the owner to slow down because I thought we were speeding, but then I saw the spe edometer. It felt like it was going 100 when we were only going 35; I can’t imagine what it must feel like at top speed. It was nothing short of pure, undiluted fun, a nd I have wanted a vintage sports car like it ever since :)

Aha! So that’s what they’re called! I remembered those glorious V12 French rally supercars, but I couldn’t remember the name. Thanks.

No idea. I guess the 911 Turbo ?
It’s the only one I could see driving regularly and possibly even owning some day (normal turbo, not S).
I can’t get into cars that I have no chance of owning. They just don’t do anything for me.
